KAEFER was engaged by Rio Tinto to carry out repairs and refurbishment works to the Dampier Salt Lake McLeod Shiploader Boom.
Our Scope
- Supply and install scaffolding and encapsulation around shiploader boom
- Carry out sandblasting of boom structure
- NDT testing of boom structural members
- Replacement of boom structural members deemed not fit for service
- Surface treatment of repaired boom section
All works were carried out during a three-week outage period.
