Community, ESG & Sustainability
KAEFER Integrated Services is guided by the philosophy of being welcomed by the communities that host our business activities. We work towards this goal through effective engagement with stakeholders, respect for cultural heritage and diversity, creating economic opportunities, investment in community projects and programs and fostering a strong residential workforce. We believe in being an active participant in the communities we live and work in and support initiatives that help to create healthy, vibrant and cohesive communities.
KAEFER continues to support local communities through a number of initiatives, including sponsorship programs, donations to community institutions and traineeships. We are also committed to maximising opportunities for local industry and will provide full, fair, and reasonable opportunity for suppliers and subcontractors to assist in the delivery of our activities.
KAEFER Integrated Services is committed to diversity and equal opportunity, promoting an inclusive work environment and encouraging full participation of all employees in contributing to the achievement of our business objectives.
We are proud to have had our first Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) officially endorsed by Reconciliation Australia for June 2022 – June 2024, which is available below.
Globally, in 2010, the KAEFER Group started its own Foundation supporting global causes including prevention of diseases, natural disasters, protection of environment / ecosystem, science and projects for younger generations. Further information on the Foundation is available below:
ESG & Sustainability
Our company was founded more than 100 years ago with the aim to reduce the energy waste in ships leaving from the port of Bremen. This first guiding principle has influenced much of what we have accomplished in the century since, putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do.
KAEFER has a global strategy for ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) and sustainability, with targeted initiatives in place locally to support this across seven key workstreams:
- Carbon Footprint
- Health & Safety
- Supply Chain Sustainability
- Economic Performance
