Kwinana Waste-to-Energy Project
The Kwinana Waste-to-Energy Plant is a waste processing facility currently under construction.
The plant will use moving grate technology to process approximately 400,000T of municipal solid waste, commercial & industrial waste and pre-sorted construction and demolition waste per annum to produce approximately 36MW of baseload power for export to the grid. The Plant will be the first of its kind constructed in Australia, diverting approximately 25% of Perth’s post-recycling rubbish from landfill sites.
KAEFER is engaged by EPC Contractor ACCIONA to provide labour and supervision across multiple disciplines as part of the plant’s construction.
