KAEFER was engaged by JKC Australia to supervise, manage and perform scaffolding services for construction of the Ichthys Onshore LNG Plant.
Our Scope
- Provision of all manpower and services equipment
- Scaffold design in accordance with Australian standards
- Provision of scaffold system in accordance with Australian standards and Client requirements, including all necessary ladders, ledgers, transoms, bracing, ties, anchorages, clips, base plates and boards
- Coordination of planning, erection, dismantling and modification of scaffolding for multi-use in pipe racks, elevated and tall equipment
- Provision of services for small scaffolding such as hop ups, step overs and low platforms for use by all end-user subcontractors
As part of our solution, KAEFER introduced and promoted the use of System Scaffolding. This resulted in significant productivity improvements (25%) compared to Tube and Clip systems. KAEFER’s Scaffolding Management Portal allowed us to effectively plan the works. The system captured critical data including latest dates for erection and dismantle and location for each scaffold. This facilitated the bundling of erections and dismantling for scaffolds in similar locations, achieving cost and schedule benefits.
