Helping Hands Initiative

Earlier this year, KAEFER Integrated Services team members across the country took part in multiple “Helping Hands” sessions. Helping Hands is the flagship initiative of KAEFER’s annual SAFE Hands Safety Campaign. During these activities, teams work collaboratively to build prosthetic hands while being unable to use their dominant hand to expose them to what life would be like with a severe hand injury.

Following completion of the activity, the completed prosthetic hands were donated to developing countries. The donations were facilitated through Australian social enterprise “Helping Hands”.

We are pleased to see the prosthetic hands have now been successfully received by a number of individuals who had either lost or been born without a limb. Recipients included young children who had suffered accidents through to adults who had waited their whole lives for support in living without a hand.
