Santos-KAEFER Indigenous Training & Employment Program
KAEFER Integrated Services has entered into a partnership agreement with Santos Ltd to provide a joint Indigenous Training & Employment Program in the Northern Territory. The Program will support Indigenous peoples by equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare them for long-term employment opportunities.
The purpose of the Program is to identify, attract, employ, train and support Indigenous candidates through traineeships, apprenticeships and tertiary study, with the aim of increasing skills and qualifications of Indigenous people across Northern Territory communities. Santos and KAEFER will support the Program with high-quality mentoring services to support participants on structured pathways that will lead to meaningful, sustainable employment.
KAEFER and Santos share an ongoing commitment to fostering the growth and development of Indigenous peoples in the Northern Territory.
The Santos-KAEFER Indigenous Training & Employment Program includes a range of blue and white collar roles. Please refer to the current available opportunities below:
Available Roles
Duration: 12 weeks
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Willingness to learn
- White card (OHS Construction Induction Card)
- Australian government issued ID or Birth Certificate
- Pre-employment medical
Larrakia, Tiwi and other First Nations people are strongly encouraged to apply.
Participants will complete a 12-week program to attain their Cert III Basic Scaffolding qualification.
Expected start date: September/October 2024.
Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Excellent communication skills and high computer literacy
- Willingness to learn
- White card (OHS Construction Induction Card)
- Australian government issued ID or Birth Certificate
- Pre-employment medical

Participants will complete a 12-month program to attain their Cert IV Work Health & Safety qualification.
Expected start date: September/October 2024.
