We were proud to support the Collie Eagles Football Club’s Men’s Mental Health Day in the South West of Western Australia. The event encouraged players and community members to wear blue in support of men’s mental health and created space for conversations on resilience, wellbeing, and connection.
Guest speaker Damian Martin, Perth Wildcats captain who now oversees Fremantle’s leadership program, spoke to the young Collie players about the importance of resilience and perspective when pursuing a career in sport.
Event MC Brad Hansen summed up the importance of the day:
“Men’s mental health is a big one for us as a club. We have a lot of young men in the club, and we’ve had quite a few locals who have suffered from mental health issues and want to get their story out and pass it on to people so they can deal with their own mental health issues and know that there’s somewhere to turn.”
