P1000 Expansion Project – SMPE&I Brownfield Construction
Overview
KAEFER is currently engaged by Pilbara Minerals to deliver a range of services associated with the Pilgan P1000 Concentrator Expansion Project.
Scope of Work
KAEFER’s scope includes:
- SEL Protection Relays – Electrical, instrumentation & controls works.
- P1000 Plant Tie-in works – Completing all tie-ins with the existing plant.
- HMS Building Area Works – Installation of a new screen, cyclones, piping, pumps, electrical, controls and structural steel fabrication and installation.
- HPGR Area – Modifications to allow for an upgrade to the current tertiary crushing circuit, spanning structural, mechanical & piping works, electrical & instrumentation works.
- Existing Ball Mill – Works to the gravity and grinding circuits of the plant, including pumps & piping replacement and associated electrical & instrumentation works.
- Existing Flotation Area – Works including installation of structural steel, pipe supports, piping, pumps, tank heater and associated electrical, instrumentation & controls infrastructure.
- Existing Thickener & Raw Water Area – Installation of pumps, pipework and associated electrical, instrumentation & controls infrastructure.
- VSD Changeout – Removal of existing Mill HV VSD and replacement with client-supplied VSD (4MW Sinamics GenVE GH180).
- Piperack & Services – Installation of client-supplied air receivers, compressors, filters and dryer including all associated equipment, pipework installation, electrical, instrumentation & controls works.
