Karara Mine Project SMP Works
Overview
KAEFER was engaged to complete various structural, mechanical & piping works for the Karara Mine Project across the Thickener and Dewatering Circuit.
Scope of Work
Thickener
- Fabrication & installation of rubber-lined carbon steel pressure piping, DN350 to DN600
- Fabrication & installation of DN120 Lobster Backs
- Site fabrication & installation of stainless steel pressure piping – 700m
- Site fabrication & installation of HDPE Piping – 1.5km
- Installation of structural steel, piping supports & slurry pumps
Dewatering Circuit
- Fabrication & installation of hoppers & cyclone overflow hoppers for 4 cyclone banks
- Fabrication & installation of rubber-lined carbon steel pressure piping (DN600), including cyclone overflow, screen bypass, pumping suction piping & manifolds, underflow piping & discharge piping
- Modifications to structural steel and installation of new structural steel to support new equipment
- Installation of new pumps for circuit
- Removal of screens pumps & associated redundant equipment
