Yara YPF Turnaround 2023 Works
Yara Pilbara Fertilisers (YPF) utilised KAEFER as their primary maintenance and projects service provider to undertake work related to the 2023 Turnaround Event.
Yara Australia engaged KAEFER as their primary maintenance and projects service provider to undertake maintenance, modifications, and turnaround work related to the Yara Pilbara Fertiliser (YPF) Plant Major Turnaround Event 2023. KAEFER executed the multidisciplinary scope, comprising of fabrication, front-end loading, management, supervision, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, scaffolding, rope access, refractory and lifting & rigging teams (including some significant lifts over 100T), while also managing all site services across a 550-strong on-site team.
KAEFER completed over 500 mechanical and E&I maintenance workscopes while also undertaking 12 large SMP scopes under the capital works team. KAEFER successfully completed works spanning structural installation and remediation, valve & PRV maintenance and overhaul, structural and pipe welding, column internal repairs and refractory remediation. KAEFER’s E&I scope included over 680 instrument calibrations, hazardous area inspections, valve stroke checking, temperature element checking and calibrations, low voltage switchgear maintenance and integrated works with OEM vendors incorporating project scopes.
The Major Turnaround scope was completed successfully with no major incidents, zero leaks on startup, within budget and on schedule.
