Karara Mine Tanks Surface Protection
KAEFER was engaged by Pacific Industrial Company to apply rubber linings and protective coatings to workshop and site fabricated tanks for the Karara Iron Ore Project.
Our Scope
In total, fifteen tanks were protected with a combination of rubber lining and high build epoxies on tank internals, with the externals receiving a coat of epoxy zinc phosphate and high build epoxy. All platework was abrasive blasted and primed in KAEFER’s Kwinana workshop before being site erected and subsequently top-coated on site. KAEFER was also responsible for all access requirements as part of the works, utilising several elevated work platforms.
All works were delivered on time, safely and to a high-quality standard. KAEFER’s performance was recognised with several Contractor Safety Awards received from the Client during site works.
